This is great! I could really use that. I wish I had Access.... I hope one day it would be possible to open in OpenOffice Base or something else. Is it possible in Access to make some kind of standalone program like you can in Excel?
Anyway, thank you for this fine service, I am sure it makes formulating much easier.

Have you tried opening it in open office? They should be compatible.
I will ask the coder if a standalone version is possible.

Yes I tried that but it only shows some tables (I think it is the forms or queries that is missing... not sure what it is called). After searching the internet I can see that it is a known problem with Openoffice Base. I hope your coder can make a standalone version - in meanwhile I will try it on someones else computer.
This program could really help me - with now more than 117 ingredients I really need something to make my life easier!

John - I am unable to open the LARGE SAR file. I download, save and get following error msg: 'Acrobat could not open '3-BulkActives_RecipeCreator_V2.rar' because it is not a supported filed type or because the file has been damaged (example: email attachment that wasn't correctly decoded)'.
I have extensive firewalling on my computer - could it be preventing Access from downloading and then defaulting to Adobe and getting confused? I am definitely not a techie....
Thanks for any help you can provide. Tam

Well. the access database is packed into a RAR file. That has nothing to with Acrobat (PDF).
I think maybe your file associations are wrong.
Do you actually have WinRar or WinZip or even better 7Zip ( http://www.7-zip.org/ ) installed? These are the freeware programs you need to unpack the file.
Once it has been unpacked, you double clink it to install.

John - I don't have any of the programs you mention. My system defaults to Adobe as the app of choice when trying to open programs that can't find a suitable app.
I will download your suggested program and try again.
Thank you. Tam
